How consideration works
Five steps, from first enquiry to invitation. How long each takes varies with the enquiry, and is not fixed to a schedule.

Enquiry
You write, or a member writes on your behalf. Either route is considered on the same footing.

First conversation
An unhurried discussion about what you are working on and what you would want from the membership. There is nothing to prepare.

Interview
A longer conversation with members of the Circle. It runs in both directions: you are assessing the fit as much as we are.

Review
Your candidacy is considered within the Circle. The question is whether the room is right for you and you for it, rather than whether you are qualified.

Acceptance
Where consideration is favourable, an invitation follows with the terms of membership. Where it is not, you are told directly.
