Executive Forums

Closed sessions, held in confidence, on one question at a time.

Executive Forums

A small group works through a single question in depth. There is no audience, no record and no performance, only the conversation that becomes possible once nobody is presenting.

How it is offered

Executive Forums runs in more than one shape, so members can take it in the form that suits the question.

Peer Forum

Members of comparable scale and stage, working through a question none of them has resolved.

Sector Forum

A group drawn from one industry, where shared context removes the need for preamble.

Chairman’s Forum

Convened around a question raised from the chair, with attendance by invitation.

Who this pillar serves

Membership is broad, but each pillar suits a particular disposition more than others.

Willing to speak plainly

Forums depend on candour. Members bring the version of the problem they would not put in a board pack.

Comfortable without an answer

Some sessions close without resolution. The clarity is in the framing as often as in the conclusion.

Able to hold confidence

Forums depend on members treating what is said in them as confidential. The Trust Framework sets out the terms.

Present for the whole session

Forums are attended in full. Partial attendance changes the room for everyone in it.
